Hewes Marine Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Painter. This position will support the paint department. It is fast paced and requires someone that is production oriented. This position is hourly and will report to the Production Supervisor’s team.
Position Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepping surfaces for painting, monitoring booth operations, and identifying flaws
- Applying primer and finish coats using spray equipment
- Touch-up paint flaws and damaged areas
- Work well within a team environment
- Read and follow instructions
- Use a variety of tools
- Lift & move parts or equipment
- Attention to detail including product measurements and thickness checks

Education/Experience:

Hewes Marine Company, the maker of Hewescraft boats, is seeking a Sales Administrator who will (under the direction of the Marketing/Sales Manager) develop customer relationships with Hewescraft dealers; generate, receive, and process boat, engine, and trailer orders; manage customer calls, and support the outside sales efforts of the Pacific Northwest’s #1 boat builder.
The Sales Administrator responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensure excellent communication and relationship building with dealer locations in the Pacific Northwest U.S. with the goal of generating consistent Hewescraft boat production orders.
- Contact dealers on a regular basis to ensure order accuracy, obtain missing information, and answer questions with a high level of customer service.
- Receive and accurately process boat, motor, and trailer manufacturing orders based on dealer specs.
- Accurately communicate dealer order details to the production floor to ensure correct construction and completion of each boat order.
- Accurately process outboard engine orders from order receipt through order entry, purchase order creation, delivery, and billing.
- Inventory, track, and ensure motor delivery to internal departments as well as dealer locations.
- Cross-train with other sales staff to ensure full task coverage throughout the department.
- Occasionally represent Hewes Marine Company at boat shows throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
The following education, experience, and skills are required to be considered for the Sales Administrator position:
- AS/AA (2-year degree) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Experience in sales positions
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Self-directed with excellent time-management skills
- Able to multi-task in an environment of shifting priorities.
- Able to work well in a team environment with all levels of management.
- Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High regard for safety, and excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with a manufacturing ERP/MRP system, or similar software package preferred.
Pay Scale
- Admin 1: 0-2 years of comparable experience – $22-24 hourly
- Admin 2: 2-4 years of comparable experience – $24-26 hourly
- Admin 3: 5+ years of comparable experience – $26-28 hourly

Hewes Marine Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Full-Time Electrical Assembler to work on its product line. This position performs both bench-type processes and in-boat processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies. This position reports directly to Production Supervisors.

Hewes Marine is looking for an individual to assist with managing the day-to-day activities and personnel within the Production department.
Hewes Marine is the leader in the design and manufacturing of aluminum fishing boats within the Pacific Northwest. The factory is located in the beautiful Inland Northwest and centrally located among some of the most scenic areas in the Northwest, providing endless opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast.
Position Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for various departmental management functions, from creation of fabricated parts to final completion of boats
- Assist production team with maintenance and management of production schedule
- Foster an atmosphere of quality throughout all phases of production
- Take a hands-on approach to supervise and train production personnel with a focus on team building
- Participate as a member of the company leadership team with other supervisors and managers
- Participate in departmental HR functions, including training, hiring, and disciplinary actions
- Develop Standard Work for all production elements
- This position reports directly to the Production Manager
Education/Experience:
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a minimum of 5 years at a supervisory/management level (Additional consideration given to individuals with boat-building experience)
- Strong personnel management skills and ability to lead and organize large groups of individuals toward company goals
- Demonstrated experience working as a member of a team of managers and supervisors
- Experience and commitment to continuous improvement, reduction of waste (both material and labor), on-time delivery of goods, and a strong commitment to consistency of quality
- Experience with adherence to manufacturing and engineering documentation systems, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, and MRP systems
- Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with a willingness to learn additional programs as required.
Compensation:
- This position is a full-time, salaried position at Hewes Marine Company
- Salary Range: $75,000 per year to $95,000 per year

Hewes Marine Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Worker I to support our warehouse functions at our growing boat manufacturing company in Colville, WA. This position performs receiving, stocking, inventory, and other general warehouse functions. This position reports directly to the Materials Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Unload freight from trucks and common carriers.
- Complete receiving paperwork accurately.
- Stock shelves.
- Complete accurate inventory counts.
- Distribute materials to appropriate departments.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Organize and clean warehouse.
- Complete all assignments as directed and in compliance with company guidelines.
- Achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals as set by department Lead and/or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Hard working
- Ability to show up to work on time and consistently.
- Ability to learn and become efficient at new tasks.
- Ability to successfully complete forklift operation certification within 30 days of hire (we will train.)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with no restrictions.

Hewes Marine is looking for an individual to fill a full-time position within the Engineering department as a Designer/CNC Programmer. Key areas of responsibility will be CNC programming, manufacturing support, change management, and documentation control. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility within Engineering supporting the goals and objectives of manufacturing primarily focused on CNC programming for router and plasma operations
- Updating CNC files for plasma machine and brake press
- Maintenance of engineering documentation, including drawings, assemblies, specifications, BOM’s, etc.
- Sales support for customization of standard product offerings
- Support of change management activities
Qualifications
- Desire 2-year associate degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- Experience with SolidWorks preferred, but other 3D design platforms will be considered
- Experience with 2D CAD software preferred
- Experience within a manufacturing environment, a strong mechanical aptitude, with additional consideration given for individuals from the marine industry
- Must have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both Manufacturing and Engineering personnel
- Desire experience with product documentation, including part and assembly drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and process instructions
- Strong math skills are a must
- Self-motivated, creative thinker, deadline-oriented, work well in a team environment, and be willing to work overtime on an as-needed basis
